In 2016, what began as a simple adventure among friends consolidated into an idea that allowed us to combine work, nature and hobbies. Bosque Hundido was born, a project focused on making furniture from wood submerged in lakes in southern Chile.
Combining skills, research and learning with practice, we were limiting the initial uncertainties of how and what we could achieve. And thus we have solidified a long and meticulous productive process, always focused on improving.
Over time we perfected our capabilities to refloat logs and process them in the sawmill we set up in the south, where natural drying subsequently begins. And now with the best dry raw materials available, the focus shifted to consolidating our furniture workshop in Santiago, with a strong human team and good machinery.
This is how a piece of furniture completes the virtuous circle of our woods and we manage to give a second life to a lost material. That is the furniture store we want to be, one in balance with nature, where our clients value our work both aesthetically and in the ethics behind it. And for us, also the balance of being professional and addressing the challenges of what we like to do.
Teamwork: Our tasks could hardly be carried out without a coordinated and trained team, from organizing work in the water, moving large logs in the sawmill or covers in the workshop.
Safety: First of all and in all our work, safety. In each of the stages of our production process.
Excellence: We seek to live up to the quality and history of the raw materials we work with. We aim to be a recognized furniture store in Chile and abroad.
Learning: Focus on the continuous improvement of our processes and the expansion of our capabilities and knowledge.
Balance: In the work and personal life of each team member. And an excellent internal work environment.
Transparency: In all our processes, in the raw material supply chain and commitments to improve our work.
